With her former fiance ensconced in the arms of Hollywood siren Scarlett Johansson, Alanis Morissette seemingly spent much of last year comfort eating.

But while she may have hit 'rock bottom' after the unravelling of her engagement to Ryan Reynolds - and his lightening bolt marriage to the Lost In Translation bombshell - it seems she's finally turned her life around.

The 35-year-old has sweated off almost a stone and a half since blowing out as a result of what she describes as being 'indulgent for a good nine months.'
