Baywatch hits big screen for film remake of classic TV show

Baywatch fans will no doubt be over the moon to hear that the tanned and toned figures in red are set to return.

The classic TV show, about lifeguards who patrol a beach in California, is said to be making a comeback - as a tongue-in cheek comedy.

Paramount has reportedly hired Jeremy Garelick, who scripted The Break-Up starring Jennifer Aniston, to write and direct the adaptation of the 90's show that starred David Hasselhoff of Knight Rider fame and launched the career of pin-up Pamela Anderson.
