Naomi Campbell 'hunted by police after assaulting her limousine driver' in New York

Naomi Campbell was wanted for questioning by the police last night after she was accused of slapping and punching her chauffeur.
The male victim said the 39-year-old model attacked him while he was driving her around New York.

Miss Campbell was sitting in the back seat of the black Cadillac Escalade when she allegedly flew into a rage and slugged the 27-year-old limousine driver.

It isn’t the first time the famously cantankerous British beauty has been in trouble with the law over her violent tantrums involving employees.

She has previously been charged with beating up an assistant and throwing a jewel-encrusted mobile phone at her maid.

When the driver stopped the car in midtown Manhattan to call the police at about 3pm yesterday, Miss Campbell allegedly jumped out and fled on foot.

The chauffeur, who had been hired for the day, reportedly suffered a bruised cheek and ‘bumps and bruises’ in the alleged assault.

Police interview Katie Price over claims she was raped by celebrity

Katie Price was quizzed by police last night over claims she was raped by an unnamed celebrity.

Detectives wanted to question the 31-year-old glamour girl over allegations in her magazine column and a subsequent interview that a 'famous celebrity' subjected her to a brutal sex attack.

Price - also known as Jordan - initially said she would "absolutely never" name the man and had no plans to make an official report to police.

But Surrey Police made contact with her representatives yesterday after it emerged she let the alleged attacker's name slip off air during filming of her ITV2 reality show What Katie Did Next.

However, speculation was still mounting that the celebrity could be named publicly like John Leslie, the former TV presenter who was outed after Ulrika Jonsson made her own anonymous allegation, which he strongly denied.

Senior sources stressed that it was too early to say whether a full- scale inquiry will begin.

To start a meaningful investigation, they would need Price's co-operation and details of when the alleged attack happened and the names of witnesses.

Price first made the sex attack revelation after newspaper stories appeared about her actor boyfriend Alex Reid allegedly filming a rape scene for a forthcoming movie. The model said reporting the matter to police was a 'hard thing to do'.

The attack is said to have taken place several years ago after a party in the West End following a series of secret dates between Price and the unnamed man.

Surrey Police said Price has been contacted but had not been spoken to 'in depth'. A source said: 'We are trying to establish whether any offence has occurred. We need to see her because very serious allegations have surfaced in the media.'

Price initially said she would 'absolutely never' name the celebrity and has no plans to make an official report to police.
